Evening Star Building - Washington, D.C.

We conducted laboratory testing on marble from the Evening Star Building, Washington, D.C. Built around 1898-1900, this building is part of the Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site. Laboratory work included coating removal, determining if a specific consolidation treatment was beneficial for the marble, and if so, the ideal amount of treatment. The work was conducted from April through May 2012. [AMT Labs report number 1204-06.]
