We conducted consolidation treatment testing on four types of limestone from the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka, Kan. Built between 1866 and 1903, the Statehouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Laboratory work on the limestone included investigative tests to determine if the stone was a good candidate for consolidation treatment as well as testing those treatments to determine the most beneficial treatment for the limestone. The work was conducted from June through August 2007. [AMT Labs report number 0706-09.]
