West Block Parliament Hill Building- Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

We conducted cleaning and consolidation treatment testing on the Berea sandstone of the West Block Parliament Hill Building in Ottawa, Ontario, a Classified Federal Heritage Building that dates back to 1865. Our laboratory testing included a petrographic examination, cleaning recommendations, and investigative testing to determine if the sandstone was a good candidate for consolidation treatment as well as testing those treatments to determine the most beneficial treatment for the sandstone.
